Questions To Ask Your Wedding Planner

You've spent endless amounts of time searching for a wedding planner or maybe you just picked the first one that popped up. Either way, you shouldn't go to your consultation unprepared. Yes, your planner will have questions for you, but you need to make sure you're planner is the right fit for you. You'll be spending a lot of time with your planner, so it's important that you click. Though, there are countless questions to ask your planner that are important, here are a few to get the juices flowing.

1. Is my event the only event you have that day/weekend?

Some may say yes, especially if they are a smaller company, while others may say no. Many planners have a team that work for them, which allows them to take more on. Even if a planner does have more than one event that day/weekend of your special day, you shouldn't sweat it. Having a team allows the planner to cover more ground. If your planner is good at what they do, they will still be able to treat you as if you're the only client  and get things done.

2. Who handles money between the vendors?

Each wedding planner is different. Some may handle money for you when it comes to paying vendors or giving out gratuity, others may not. It may also depend on which package of the wedding planners you chose. Either way, this is always a good question to ask, so that things are clear.

3. Who signs the contracts?

As previously stated, each planner is different. It is always wise to read over any contract before anyone signs anything. Your planner may set up meetings & appointments for you, but may not be responsible for attending or signing anything.

These are just a few questions to ask your planner. Before meeting with your planner, make a list of questions to ask. It's best to be clear about what you want and expect right from the start, so there is no confusion.
