Maid of Honor Responsibilities

Your best friend asked you to be her Maid of Honor for her big day. You said YES of course! How hard can it be? Well, to be honest there is more to being a MOH than putting on a super awesome dress and holding the bride's bouquet during the ceremony. MOH duties may depend on your bff and how involved she wants you to be with the planning of her big day.

Before the wedding, attend wedding dress shopping and fittings with her. Also, make sure you're there to listen and provide feedback when asked! Help out when asked. Also, help get the bridal party organized. Make sure they purchase their dresses on time and have their accessories. You can also help by confirming appointment for fittings, hair, and makeup. Plan a bachelorette party! Make sure you're there for pre-wedding events, including the engagement party, the rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner.

For the big day, make sure you're there getting ready with the bride and the bridal party. Help keep the bride calm. Nerves can be in high gear the day of the wedding! Make sure you hold the bride's bouquet during the ceremony, so that her hands are free for the exchanging of vows.

At the reception, you may have to help the bride bustle her dress before announcements and dancing. Make sure you give an awesome toast to the newlyweds. After the reception, help with cleanup!

MOH duties can vary per bride and wedding! Make sure you're helping as much as possible. Making sure your bff enjoys your day is super important!
